About Us

We met at teacher training and by the end of 200 hours and a week-long retreat together we had formed an inspiring friendship and knew we wanted to teach yoga together. The foundation of Beginners’ Yoga was created.

We came to yoga for different reasons but teach for the same reasons, which is to provide an opportunity for all people regardless of age, shape or size to try yoga. Our approach is welcoming and recognises the differences and unique approaches of the individual.

Jacki is now teaching at Fabulous Pilates and Yoga on Saturday afternoons. She also teaches private and corporate classes and is a relief teacher at Flex Hot Yoga.

In addition to teaching private classes, Lee regularly teaches hot yoga classes and is continuing her yoga studies.

Leith Mitchell

Leith is Yeronga Fitness Centre’s principal yoga instructor and is currently teaching Power and Yin Yoga to amateur and emerging young athletes. She regularly presents on corporate flexibility and mindfulness through her corporate yoga business Mitchell Services.
